Default Porsche Connect subscription

For those who have owned their cars for more than 3 years, who ended up keeping Porsche Connect?

I renewed mine at the three year mark in January as I actually do like most of the silly features that it offers but especially since my car has that odd feature of self locking itself while I am fueling it up every once in a while. With it I can take my phone out and unlock my car if it ever happens again while the windows are up. I also keep my key in my house in a drawer far away from my car and invariably when I am put-zing around in the garage my car is locked, and I want to get in it for some reason, I just take my phone out and unlock it without having to run inside and get my key and then I lock it back up via my phone when I'm done. To me its pretty cheap at $20 bucks a month for the fuel remaining, the oil level, tire pressure etc. YMMV

I just got a email today letting me know my subscription will expire next month on my ‘23 Turbo S Cab. I rarely use it so I think I’ll let it lapse and see if I miss it (whcih I doubt). I can can always renew it at any point in the future.

I renewed mine for the location features. I think you need it for the lock/unlock features as well.

The fact you can now do it monthly is a good improvement. I’ve done it to get maps updated then cancelled again

What is the cost? Do they provide discount if you don't renew after a few months?

I really like the tracking - a stand alone GPS tracker is around $120/annually.

I think that price varies by model. My Touring is 18 bucks a month. The lock and unlock feature and location is nice to have. I constantly forget to lock my car and use it a lot for that purpose. Plus the vehicle tracking…

For 2026 models it's included for 10 years. That should tell you how much customers value it.

To be fair, the price of the cars are significantly higher now so they should include it. But I get your point.
