How about going to a OEM Porsche parts supplier and looking up the part and buying one?

1) I have sent an email to my parts manager who caused the problem as king him if it is p/n PAF827649 which I got myself from eurospares (not that difficult!)
2) Based on past experience on prior items, forum is faster, and then I can order it online from the many online dealers and not wait. And forum is about as fast as you typing that useless unhelpful response.

I had to replace this part during my 1st maintenance visit. My dealer (Burlington Porsche in Massachusetts) had them in stock. For such a small part.

thank you. So it seems I have th correct part.
just waiting to see if dealer will fess up that it happened in his watch and give me one or I will have to “splurg” $10 + shipping and procure myself.

Some other clips are just not available. For example the clips that hold the part that extends when the wing goes up.
Porsche is very silly sometimes

If anyone is still reading this thread and would like to help. Do dealer ordered the clip for me. I guess ordered the p/n I gave him so not his fault, but it's not the same one that was there before and does not clip as well as origin. see pics.
Does anyone know/can figure out this part number?
My dealer is super kind and tried to help but not great at figuring these things out.

Left clip is what I received today. Clip on right is what was under my frunk and went missing on other side. Clip on right is what I need.

I am also missing one of the P/N PAF827649 Clips. So I read this thread with some interest.
I believe the replacement Clip is both OK and it's also different than the original.
Here is my theory. See the picture below. (FWIW, Thank you Photoshop.)
What I did was to trace the visible edge of the "new" clip (red) and then drop that trace on the visible image of the original clip. I had to rotate it a few degrees but that's it.
The business end of this design are it's hips (yellow arrows). The opposing ramps appear identical as well as all other shapes, with the exception of it's tip length.
I'm inclined to believe this is "technically" an acceptable revision to what is almost certainly a part that is used on other cars in Porsche's product line.
For all I know the reduction in the tip length may be an intentional design change.
The only downside I see is that it might make physically replacing the cover a bit more challenging. Aligning the Clips with their Sockets already being similar to what I imagine it would be like playing with a Ouija Board, blindfolded.

Than ks for sharing.
Thats what I figured as well.
That the parts are now "different"
Since I did place the "new" clip in place and it seems to fasten fine. Although it seems a bit less sturdy/tight but maybe thats in my head.
The manufacturer of these clips is either Nifco or ARaymond.
But I cant find a way to purchase.
But I also can't live with knowing I have two different clips. So I guess I need to get a matching "updated" model.

Don’t have part number, but if a running change in the clip, wonder if there is a corresponding new “receiver” side you could get too?

the new receiver side would be the entire plastic trim panel as the “receiving” end is part of it.

You may want to check Home Depot or Lowes in their special fasteners bins. They have a lot of auto fasteners and I'd bet these aren't Porsche specific.

Did not think of that.
I went to my local auto parts shop earlier today, and it was as if I was asking the person behind the counter to explain to me Euclid's axiomatic method.
But I was unaware that HD/Lowe's had an auto depot.
if my dealer does not come though, thats the next step.
I am SURE these are VAG shared anyway, and manufactured in China....

So

Take a look:

I ordered the wrong part (3) (p/n PAF827649 - shared VAG part)
The correct one is actually 18 (p/n 992-863-841-OK1)

Interestingly the small shared part is triple the price of the Porsche specific part.

UPDATE: Looking at this again...I am probably wrong...and 18 is a different plastic clip...and the missing clips we need here is not even on the diagram...

The way I went about this was to isolate the part number for the Cover that the Clip is supposed to be attached to. That Part Number is: 992-863-081B-OK1
That Cover is used on a lot of 992's (see below)
I searched for the Part Number of the Cover and then referenced the attachment insert. (Lower Right Corner of the on-line Catalog Diagram)
That gives me the Part Number PAF827649

Applications for the Cover follow. This Clip is common to them all.

That is what I did , but then my dealer sent me that screenshot that made me doubt my process as the #3 clip sits below the front trim ( 992863475A OK1 COVER FOR LOCK CARRIER - MATT BLACK) which is #1 in the diagram.
Where our clip should sit below 992863081B OK1 COVER - MATT BLACK as you said which is 21 in the diagram.
