Been running Endless MX-72 ceramic-metallic pads and AP/Essex 350mm rotors for the last few months on the street (previously had Hawk performance ceramics) on my Carrera T. Both compounds run relatively clean compared to OEM, rear wheels gather more dust due to PSM. On mountain roads the MX-72s have more pedal feel, a higher temp. rating, and can take a bit more heavy use. Initial bite is very good. Both pads are noise-less. You pay a premium for the Endless compared to the Hawks, so if you are just looking for a clean street pad the Hawks are a solid choice.

Except that this thread is about 992.2S/GTS brakes (which are the same size as the 992.1 GTS and 992.1 Turbo brakes), for which Hawk does not currently manufacture a ceramic pad. If they did, I would probably agree with you.

Ah yes ... I'd go with the SSM Plus then.

Should we replace the rotor as well when changing up the Hawk Pads? Anyone know the part# for 992.1 C2 base model? As long as they stop just as good as OEM with less brake dust than I definitely want.

An another alternative for the OP to consider is the budget friendly HPS 5.0 -- tho with a bit more dust than ceramic. Perhaps a better fit for the heavier 992.2 S

you don’t need to replace rotors. I have a set of lightly used hawk ceramics for sale on market place for the 992.1 base brake. The listing has the proper part numbers. You can by mine to safe money and test them out 10/8mm pad left (80%). I changed them out because I changed mt brake setup. They work great for street and 95% less brake dust.
