Renovate inside center armrest to make more space?
I'm disappointed in the way the area under the center armrest is configured on my 2024 911 Carrera T. Honestly, I think it's ridiculous for such a well engineered car. The elevated area for the phone makes it awkward to recharge from the too close USB C ports and it takes up way too much space. Has anyone found a way to remove the inside of the center console and make it a better storage are for the phone? I'm hoping maybe the inside can be removed and replaced with a flat floor inside the console, maybe using parts from a previous model?

Thank you for the help!
It’s a removable piece; two bolts hold it in place and it clips in. You can re-engineer something else if it bothers you. I’ve had mine out a few times (…and I’m awaiting an Alcantara wrapped replacement), but I have never found issue with the center armrest storage bin setup.
Process:
1. Remove inner liner; it just pulls up
2. Remove two Torx bolts
3. Pull UP on the center trim piece to release it
4. Disconnect the USB-C trim piece from behind; the entire USB-C trim piece will release from the center console housing
Once it’s out, check and see what’s under the raised area. If there’s nothing of significance, find somebody to scan the part and create something specifically for you.
Here’s what it looks like under the trim piece, so you’re not going to get it much flatter.

On my .1 car, the door/lid does not stay in the raised position, falls down unless held open. And two usb ports are not enough, I use one to power a radar detector. Going to try out a new cable which claims to safely split a usbc port to provide two power legs.

Thank you for the information about removing things @M3Inline6!
I did remove the liner hoping maybe I could just remove the block that holds the phone, but it was all one piece. I was also hoping maybe there were parts from an earlier iteration that would simply insert instead of what's there now. Unfortunately fabricating my own is a bit over my head.

I don’t know of any other parts that would supplant the one in the car now, so 3D scanning and printing your own piece would be the only other option. I could have one made for you at a cost, but I don’t think you’d gain significantly more space.

Solution: hardwire detector or use power outlet in passenger footwell.
Apologies in advance and unrelated to the OP’s question, but given that it deals with an item within same vicinity, does anyone know how the center console lid (armrest cover) is removed?
@M3Inline6 Any chance you've figured out how to improve the spring / hinge? I have the same saggy lid issue that most .1 owners have
I haven’t looked into it, however, mine is currently out of my car, so I will take a look this weekend.

Follow the steps that I posted above in post #2, and add these steps:
1. Loosen and remove the rear seat belt receptacles
2. Lift rear seats (…you have to loosen the seatbelt receptacles to gain the necessary clearance)
3. Lift UP the rear tunnel cover (..make sure to lift straight up and not forwards or backwards; you will break the tabs if you deviate)
4. Remove the two Torx screws holding in the armrest cover.
5. Lift armrest up and out.

Yikes, All that to remove the leather covering of the armrest?

My armrest was never leather. It was Alcantara from the factory. I changed out all of the plastic parts along the transmission tunnel/center console for Alcantara wrapped parts (…which included a new armrest with an embossed crest and knee rests with deviated stitching), and I sold my Alcantara PORSCHE embossed armrest and leather knee rests to @Tobeit . There is virtually no more visible plastic in my car anywhere. Everything is leather wrapped or Alcantara wrapped (…even down to the smallest parts like the electronic e-brake housing, tachometer bezel and the actual A/C vent slats; 90% of it from Exclusive Option). I only posted the picture to show what the hinge of the arm rest cover looks like.
Constant work in progress, and awaiting two more shipments from Exclusive….
