I don't think it's a Porsche thing, but a Carplay thing. I have similar issues in my wife's 2023 BMW. In my Porsche I have an Ipod plugged in for my itunes music library in the car. Works great, but often the car, while seeing my iphone as a phone, can't switch it to carplay (ipods are curiously not carplay compatible, despite being identical to the phone ... less the wireless phone function).

in my m4 my main phone is on CarPlay but if someone calls the second phone it comes over the speaker and stops the podcast from the main phone, and when the cal. Is done the CarPlay phone reconnects and the podcast starts where it left off. The 992 doesn’t do this
I’ve searched the forums and read the (useless) owners manual.
I have one phone connected to CarPlay (wireless). Occasionally I carry a second iPhone. Both phones have been connected to the pcm.
if I’m using the CarPlay phone to listen to media and if someone calls the second phone it doesn’t ring through the car but on the phone. If I can’t switch phones quickly enough on the screen I miss the call. Is there a way to make it ring through the car automatically? Previous BMWs all did this pretty seamlessly.
thanks!
Same issue with Android Auto - only the call coming in on the phone connected through Android Auto will come through the PCM, the other phone just rings on the phone. Pretty sure if i was just using straight bluetooth without AA engaged, both phones would come through the PCM. I believe it worked that way on my 991.2 where AA wasn't available.
