Default New Videos of the 992.2 GTS from DPCcars

DPC cars posted four new videos on their channel for the Cabriolet in Ice Grey Metallic, Targa in Carmine Red, and Coupe in Slate Grey Neo. The also have a video demonstrating the Exhaust Sound of the Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet. I think the car sounds pretty nice, not bad at all.

I totally agree with you!

To me it sounds amazing, in the coupe video you could even hear some pops and bangs. Btw, I love the Slate Neo Grey Color, but that ICE Gray metallic is WOW!!!!

T-hybrid with a single turbo has a very smooth sound. About what I would expect since both 3-cyl banks are feeding into a single turbo, and that is then streamed out the exhaust. Porsche purists may balk for a bit, as it lacks the characteristic flat-6 sound, but most will get around to liking this sound, I think. I like it, from that last video.

I feel that that 3.6 is gives it a higher tone than the old 3.0, but the hybrid turbo is what gives it the smooth vibe, it is like music to my ears, I love it.

Those sounds seem like they were added afterward. No wind noise, don't match what the car is doing. Last video, when it takes off and accelerates at around 5 sec. mark, the nose goes up and the sound doesn't change any more than I would expect at constant speed when it passed the camera. I wouldn't go by these video to judge the sound.

I think you have been listening too many conspiracy theories. As a professional videographer and photographer, I can assure you that there are wind cancellation techniques available. Active microphones don't need to be on the drone or the car; they can be strategically placed around the track to capture the sound perfectly.

I watched all the videos, and the sound flows correctly with the visuals

Okay. If you say so. I'd rather wait and see for myself. I've never taken youtube audio as a source for real world sound, but you do that.

As far as the conspiracy theory thing. I'll ignore that, since it doesn't make sense and you don't know me.

Yeah tough to hear audio from sources like this. I personally had to remove the GPF from my GTS 4.0 to find the sound I like…. I know 992.1 in NA didn’t have GPF, but I suspect 992.2 will.

So this will hopefully be inert like the 718s here in NA. If that’s the case, then maybe I can remove the inert placeholder matrix and leave the exhaust “stock”.

My current quest has been to inspect the current valve actuator connectors and see if they are the same as the 992.1. I suspect they are, but don’t want to invest money for a valve controller/delete until I know for sure.

Other than the sound it is the first time that the Slate Grey Neo color shows clearly in daylight, it is much different than what is shown in the configurator or in the previous dull videos.

I know many out there hate greys, but I love it and will spec it for my build.

Slate Grey Neo is a great color, but reminds me of Arctic Grey (also a great color)?

Sorry buddy for that remark didn't mean any disrespect.

I do agree with you that once we hear it live it will give us a real feel of that sound.

Yeah, it's hard to get past those insane vertical louvers.

That is a BMW-level styling misstep.
