don't forget porsche australia
our 992 is pretty much double US rrp before gov start's applying their luxury car tax
fortunately it's elective, so those of us who choose to buy new luxury cars don't give it as much thought as you have in the last few hours

Need input with this 992.2 GTS build, according to my SA I should receive an allocation the first week of September https://configurator.porsche.com/porsche-code/PSET54T8 going back and forth with exterior colors and interior.

It's a crappy design. The function is irrelevant to the discussion or my criticism. If I wanted to twist a key, analog tach & manual, I'd buy an air-cooled. Not every criticism infers someone is a luddite or an existing owner. Yes, twist to start has a great heritage and it's too bad it was scrapped. However...
It looks as though the bean-counters at PAG grabbed some VW designers and tasked them with a budget-minded push button start. Take that mentality and extend it to "what else are they doing this to in the build/design process?"
It's unimaginative and lacks an integrated design language. I'm sure they were working on it for years, yet this is what they came up with on a $150k sportscar? Looks like a wart:
My Land Cruiser has a nicer button. I'll deal with it whenever I get my 992.2 Targa 4 GTS, but I hope they come out with something better for the 994.

are there any images yet of the dark night blue interior
i really like the navy interior with a light blue exterior, like meissen or gulf
graphite to me was never quite the right shade of navy blue to pull that look off
what i also find odd, maybe it's just our config, but there are more stitch colours available for floor mats or say inner door sills than the actual full deviated contrast stitch option
edit: found one, that's about spot on for a navy

What is the point of Porsche offering a shade of blue leather so dark that it's virtually indistinguishable from black. When looking at samples at the dealer, you'll do a double take wondering if it's not mislabeled and is instead actually black. Give us a true navy blue.
look at the contrast between the black seat buckle and seat/console

Lexus does an actual navy blue interior and that's what I wish Porsche offered

However, I do agree in the longer term this is not a good move, because the only remaining iconic feature of the 911 in the 992.2 is really just the overall shape and the famous in-line 6 engine.

In general, I honestly don't think people will care about the button as much as the overall car package, that is, this button alone won't impact the buyer decision. i am sure Porsche have done their surveys and research on this point and wight up the pros and cons.
