Though it’s a beautiful car and beautiful build. It’s sad that 150k would get you technically a “base car with base engine” in this time and day.
Four years ago that was an MSRP for a GT3
and bucket for daily will feel like sitting on a plastic board, literally
Easy to get puddle lights aftermarket for cheap. Buckets on a daily? Maybe contemplate how your *** feels about that some more. Can’t really do ambient lighting afterward so get it if you like that. I would. It’s cool to have. RAS is debatable but cheap. I have it and like it a lot.
Why is everyone ditching the dash cam prep? Doesn't it make it easier to install a dashcam?
A benefit of dash cam prep is even if you don’t use it to power the dash cam you get a dedicated fused constant and switched 12 volt power supply in the overhead console.
This also eliminates the need to use a mirror tap to power a radar detector.
Don't get buckets. It's a pain to get in and out of. Try it at PEC if you can. You may not need dash cam prep. I'm getting fitcam which doesn't need it. If you plan on going 100mph on the highway then maybe get it for a radar detector.
Surround view is nice since it's a wide car. LCA is useful. Ambient lighting is cool. I like it in my other cars.
, power folding mirrors, which I have and now regret ordering
Why do you regret it? It's a nice visual indicator to tell if you're car is locked or not. Unless it constantly closes and open as you walk around with the car, that could get annoying.
Delivery experience if you have not done it before, love my extended tank, base stereo does suck but I never turn it on (or close the exhaust valves , and the regular seats are more comfortable for a daily - you’ll love it
Long time lurker and first time soon to be owner! I was somehow able to get an allocation for one of the last build batches! Would love to get some input on this build before I hit the no-change freeze date. Planning tracking it 5-7 times a year but will otherwise be daily-ed. Not sure if that's enough to warrant the bucket seats.
As a former 911 owner, it is a sweet build. If I configured a similar car, I would do this. I just took your build and deleted what I thought are options I would not add to a car. Will save you some money. OTOH, I would add a sunroof, metal preferably but not included here. Good luck. It is a lovely car no matter what. Don’t mind what anyone says. It’s yours and do what makes you happy.

Personal preference, I just do not see the need for them on a sports car. Wide SUVs sure… If one is truly concerned about the car being unlocked they can easily check via the My Porsche app and one can also lock/unlock via the app or simply hit the lock button on the key to confirm.

Have any of you guys owned a 911 with buckets? The problem isn't comfort. The problem is that getting in and out is a pain, so not suitable for a daily.
