Tried installing the controller from underneath the car without any jacks or lifts. Almost feeling claustrophobic lol and I can’t be sure which two wires should be plugged out.

assuming this is one of the wires, which is the other?

thinking of just paying someone to install this..

The item in your pic is a connector. The whole thing slides off the valve. Look for a small light gray piece of plastic, on the top left of the connector in your photo. You need to push that piece toward the left in your photo to "unlock" the connector from the valve. Once you do that, the connector will come right off. Don't force anything, should be a smooth operation.

Cold start video . Showing the difference with an initial startup stock followed by 5 open closed operations so you get a sense of the difference , the iPhone 14 pro plus mutes the sound aggressively but the actual difference is huge IRL.

It’s a big difference. Now my door panels rattle from the exhaust vibration instead of just when I hit a bump

How sweet the sound. Had this installed along with a JCR valved exhaust. I would post a video but you wouldn't be able to hear the difference from the videos posted above. I would have to say this is the single best mod I've done so far and its such a bang for the buck! If anyone wants louder, hands down get this. The beautiful part about it is that you can go back to stock with a push of a button.

For those who have no idea what they're doing, but trying to DIY here is a really bad attempt at trying to explain. Hopefully someone will come up with a better one.

There are two valve control modules (DK the real name) and are located on either side of the center muffler on the back of the tailpipes.

They are black and look like this: (Note: yours will be mounted differently. The following pics shows the black modules mounted on an aftermarket exhaust in a different orientation.)

You'll unplug the clips then attach the male and female clips from the controller to the two you just unplugged. You'll do this for both sides.

You're gonna have tons of options of routing the cables, but you'll have to choose a side of the car and not in the middle as the length of the cables are stacked. We chose to install everything on the bottom of the car because of time constraints, but 22992's idea of zip-tying the controller to the alternator cover from up top then fishing the cables downwards seems the cleanest so far.

Hope that helped somewhat.

managed to install these, just have to stick the module onto the alternator cover and secure the excess cable length to somewhere. Thanks to 22992 and everyone else who posted tips.

will try to post some vids if I can. It’s installed with an Akra slip-on. First impressions are that cold starts are still loud with the Akra slip on. Difference when opening the valves via the cargraphic module at idle is not as significant compared to the guys here with the PSE.

This is where my friend installed it on a GT3. Is it different on a T?

There didn’t appear to be a suitable spot there on my Carrera. Maybe others have found a way.

I agree.

I had seen this location shown in the GT3 instructions so this was the first place that I investigated. On my C4S I couldn't fit the module there as there were other items in the way.

I followed your lead and mounted it to the alternator cover, which had a surprising amount of room available.

@brianja did you find that the cargraphic ‘quiet cold start’ isn’t exactly quiet with the Akra slip on? It’s really just the same as it was with the stock valves to me, just with the option of it being even louder.

Yes... that's my experience too, I'm afraid. Not a real improvement on that front. Perhaps I'm not programming this correctly? I think the problem I am seeing is that the programming only allows start mode to be open/loud start or "stock" valve operation. I'm not seeing how to have it force the valves closed/quiet on startup as it was implied would be possible. Hopefully I am just missing something.

Once the car is warmed up the difference from valves in stock operation vs fully open with the Cargraphic Controller is considerable at lower RPMs.

I am now of the understanding that it’s not possible to program closed valves upon start up. Only stock valve operation vs fully opened is possible.

That's what I fear to be the case as well. It's pretty disappointing for those of us trying to accomplish a quiet startup without a tune. This was supposed to do this for us.
