Interesting question. It does not MAKE the car louder, it just allows control over the valve. So when the valves are normally open anyway(>4000rpm), it's the same volume. No change.
Obviously it's louder when you open the valves<4000rpm, as they are are normally closed. You can test this yourself by adding the collars to the valves, or wiring the valves open. Both are simple, cheap and fast for a test before your drop the $500 for the controller.
FYI, I purchased mine from @SupremePower , and installed it over the weekend. Pretty straightforward, I used long needle nose pliers to reach down and grab the connector.
can you run this with exhaust sport mode on or off? or does it just open them all the way no matter what setting you have selected.... i just ordered one. and does it remember your setting when cars turned off?

There are two modes:?Stock(keeps all stock functionality) and full open(open all the time no matter mode or setting). Unsure if it will remember last setting, but I would assume so.
They did say about 2 weeks to prepare n ship from receiving our payment so really its more like 2 weeks overdue but still I agree....Germans are on their own schedule!!! Always have been.....

It would be great for one of the first people to get this to photo document or video document their install. There is a video on a GT3 but the cars are not exactly the same. I would do it but a.) I am leaving on vacation this week and b.) my car just started getting built in Stuttgart!!! HAHA
