Default Cabriolet "hump" versus Targa "hump"

After you get done giggling like a 12 year old over the title, I really couldn't think of a better way to phrase it.

I know the cabriolet has a bit of a hump in the rear compared to the coupe, where the top is stored and whatnot.

My question is does the Targa have that same hump where the glass and targa fabric cover is stored versus the coupe also?

It's the same. The targa glass+frame eats into the engine body panel, hump remains the same size.

Where are they hiding the pictures of the 992 Targa?

Seriously, wouldn't a simple profile shot of a Targa answer your question?

I know what you speak of and the targa does not have it to my eye. Just get a speedster and be done with it

Obviously it is a personal taste thing. I usually don’t like how ‘Verts look compared to their coupe counterparts. I actually like how 992 Cabs look, must be the wide body hips or something.

I’ve never seen a Targa that I thought looked good. Just not my cup o tea.

From my analysis, it's the same. The black and white image below is a difference map between the two. It shows the differences between the two overlaid: the areas you see as pure black would indicate it's the same.

compare those two from the back and I'll bet Targa no hump vs. Cab hump.

Targa keeps the roof lines better of the coupe then the convertible obviously... I have never wanted a convertible in my life but I absolutely love the look of the Targa and ended up going with that after my GTS Coupe.

Can't go wrong with either but a GTS Targa is more rare than a GT3 / Touring....

Thank you very much!

I just couldn't tell from pics and haven't seen any side by side or even in the same parking lot.

The grumpy folk in here need to go over to the corvette forums and spread some discontent and overflowing frustration over there...geez, I was literally just asking a question to see if anyone knew. I hope my offending you took those few seconds out of your day that you'll never get back. Thank you for your time.

Clearly there is a difference between the two. The Cab has a larger "hump".
