Default Uniden R3 doesn’t fit in 12v adaptor

Hi guys, I’m using the power cord of my new Uniden R3.

It doesn’t fit into the 12v charger. Literally too big.

What am I missing here? Passenger footwell. Doesn’t fit. My battery maintainer does.

What the hell?

Mine fit in the cig port before I hard wired it. Does your cable look like this one? If so, it should fit fine.

Yep. It doesn’t fit in the passenger footwell port. I’m pushing very hard and I don’t want to break it.

And I’ve used that port to put in the battery maintainer, and it fit fine.

Is there someplace else I’m supposed to plug in this thing?

can you push the metal buttons in on the shaft of it? Maybe they are stuck.

How about that, there was a piece of plastic in the port (probably a piece of the battery maintainer that comes off). It was blocking it off

Got it out with a pair of pliers

All is good.

Thanks for the response, Bigworm
