The base being used was equipped with S wheels, yet he states the ride was a bit more forgiving than the S. If they are both on the 20/21" wheels, I would've thought the chassis set-up would be virtually identical. He also laments the unavailability of the MT in the C2, which has been echoed here many a time . . .

Interesting. He was driving both cars in wet/damp, windy conditions on narrow roads. Also known as ‘a lovely day in England’.
No mention of the dreaded lack of a LSD on the Carrera. And, he didn’t nearly lose control of the car in low speed corners. Shocking.

Let's disregard the fact that he's driving tamely on what look to be very nice roads and didn't seem to encounter any ice/oil/snow/significant bumps, you know.. things that actually cause an open diff to struggle.

I can't say the video disappointed me as my expectations for a review of anything on YouTube are pretty low. It met my expectations.
He seemed to spend a lot of time discussing grip or lack of it. As noted above, his little trip down country roads in the rain is hardly an ideal way to compare to high powered sports cars. I also found his reference to the smaller wheels on the base causing less grip amusing. F1 cars use 13 inch wheels and they seem to have quite a bit of grip.
I honestly cannot see how you can compare these two cars, at least in terms of performance, without really stretching their legs.

What I take from it is that they are both great cars. if you want more performance, get an S, but I think most people will enjoy a base car on the roads most of us travel on. This isn't the first reviewer to point that out. Nick Murray (the prolific YouTube poster) has owned and driven several variants and agrees that the base car is more "usable" in everyday driving. You can have fun "pushing" the base car, but when you push the S, you have to back off the gas pedal that much sooner. If budget wasn't a consideration, I'd probably get an S, but I found my 217 C4 Base had more than enough power for my daily driving and I don't "track" my cars.

If I wanted a track car I would get a GT3RS or GT2RS, anything less than those two you would be the fat kid running the marathon. My new C2 will be the perfect car for having fun on the road. I dont think I will miss anything compared to an S. I ordered the PCCB because I liked them so much on my 2007 GT3RS.

Allan, I agree with you 100 percent. We have PCCB on our 9Y0 Cayenne Turbo and find them extraordinary. Best brakes by far we've ever owned.
If I could stomach another $10K for PCCB on our 992, I'd do it. Might still talk myself into it. It'd be pretty cool to have two P-cars sitting in our garage with banana brakes.
