We went for a 10hr drive in my 992 C4S through four states. I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s a fantastic tourer. More than half of our trip was in the pouring rain, bringing down our average speed to something that I could post publicly. LoL
Takeaways?
-18 way seats are divine
-Wet mode will reduce your MPG, but it really does work.
-Porsche’s ACC is one of the best in the business. I only used it a couple of times to flex my foot for comfort, but it’s brilliant
-Waze via CarPlay is downright useful
-Aventurine Green allows you to zip along in a very low key manner
-Plenty of luggage capacity for two people
-My 11yo son is a fantastic co-driver. He dutifully grabbed the binoculars whenever we got a credible warning on the radar detector. 👍

Uniden R7. Valentine’s patent expired, so now both Escort and Uniden support the directional arrows — it tells you whether the radar is ahead of you, behind you, or to your side. I went with the R7 for its super long range capabilities which gives you plenty of time to slow down. It basically paid for itself during this travel leg. 😉

Single suction cup mount. I have considered a blend mount, but I will probably just stick with the temporary setup for out of state adventures. In Pennsylvania, local law enforcement isn’t allowed to use radar. It’s restricted to state troopers. So, radar is not a common thing that you run into on backroad adventuring in my home state.

I am glad to see that your Porsche connect app works. You must be one of the few that it is showing the correct data comparing to the car PCM
