Default PSE: Help from who have received 992

Hi guys,
I've received my 992 some days ago.

I have a little question about PSE...(Probably easy answers from who have retired 992 yet)

- In my previous Carrera s 991.2 with PSE, when I put in Sport mode the exhaust sounds with gurgling also at low speed,

Here in 992 the gurgling sounds seems to be more light and more in high revs... Do you know that also in your 992?

Before when I put car in high revs and left the gas pedal, the PSE makes a lot of gurgling sound...

Now I've heard that PSE is more aggressive than before, but I think it's very less gurgling

I don't know if is that I've done very few km,
If the car is more soundproof (992 is)
Or if I'm wrong in the passages...

Still waiting for my car, but as far as I know the exhaust note is quite a bit less then the 991.2
Main reason is the partical filter that is required (exept for US vehicles).

I really hope the sound does get better when the exhaust brakes in or there will be an easy filter delete.

I'd hope the gurgling is less. It sounds ridiculous when I'm coasting over speedbumps in my neighborhood. Rababababab at 5mph.

Put it in normal and it is gone

It is way less. Only done 200km but It's a little more mature and less show I would say.

A lot less than the previous 991.2 I had. Hopefully with time it will get better.

The gurgling on the 9A2 cars I find to sound nearly comically artificial, but it's great to know the 992 is apparently quieter than the 991.2. Just what the 911 needed.

Let's hope deleting the particulate filter will "amp" it up in the States.

Not sure if he had PSE on, but this reviewer was underwhelmed by the 992 engine sound inside

I was pleasantly surprised by the sound of the 992. The reviews all said it was quiet so maybe my expectations were low. I’ve also come from a 991 Turbo so that’s my perspective.

There is a lot less gurgling and it only does it when when a car really would rather than the 991 which gurgled every single time you come off the accelerator irrespective of revs, load etc. I think that’s a good thing personally.

And they have definitely moved the noise building up to higher revs. It’s pretty quiet up 3000rpm and then it sounds better. Again, I’m quite pleased. There’s nothing worse than the Ferrari style where it’s all quiet and then suddenly “bllaaaa!” at 3000rpm.

All my experience has been in europe with the filter and cars with ~500miles.

"The engine noise is extremely muted, and it's not very interesting even when it does get wound up."

Just what we wanted.

In his "what I don't likes" he also noted the sound is "shocking" in the most negative sense. Stating the 911 is clearly moving more toward GT car.

He finds the car incredibly well engineered, to a fault even, as good as it gets, yet states that especially in respect to how fast it goes, it emits very little emotion and excitement. Basically meaning they certainly didn't put effort into making the 992 more visceral.

Great review, btw. I find it to be the most balanced review and what I assume I'll feel when I drive one myself.

From the tailpipes, one can tell the yellow car has PSE.
