PAG has spent the last 24 years marketing the turbocharged "GT" model as the GT2. 20 years for the normally aspirated model as the GT3. And 46 years for the RS. The idea of a turbocharged GT3 doesn't pass the smell test.

According to CarBuzz article siting Achleitner, the new RS will be LIGHTER than current and might rev “to 9000 and beyond”

Naturally aspirated doesn’t rule out electrically assisted...that’s still my bet with the 3RS. I think it’s pretty realistic to assume the GT3 will be basically the same engine as it is now, with a modest HP bump.

The 8 speed PDK in the 992 is designed for it as well apparently.

Great observation

Also, last Fall Walliser phrased wording by adding an end qualifier "GT3 will stay NA as long as it is competitive in Racing"
Things are changing

So how is there going to be a slight diet and hybrid? That would be some trick. Going from a Cup based 3996cc to an R based 4000 cc isn’t going to buy much hp.Not sure about rpms though.
