Default Aftermarket alcantara

I would like to change the interior on my future 992 to alcantara. All interior.
Has anyone done this before? On any other older models.

Have you asked about doing an Exclusive program with alcantara?

I'd wait for the 992 GTS if I were you. A top notch upholsterer will charge you an arm and a leg + it will never look as good as straight from the factory.

Buy the first gen 992. Wait for 992 GTS. Sell early model, buy GTS.

Cheaper and less heart ache than adding alcantara. No one will want to buy the car with aftermarket alcantara. (I say this as a fan of alcantara, because eventually there will be a factory option and of course no one would want a "custom" one then)

First: Faux Suede

Second:
Is Alcantara expensive? Compared to leather, usually not. But like any material, it's available in a variety of different quality levels, which can be expensive.

There is a World Wide Alcantara Shortage. That's what is driving the prices up and why the roof liner in Alcantara is now an option on the S and 4S.

Worst case scenario, if you must have a 992 now, is buy it, AND then swap parts for the OE factory Alcantara parts in about 18-24 months. Save your old parts in case you want to/need to return the car to original build for resale purposes. Then, sell the alcantara parts and recoup some of your costs.

But yeah, just wait for the 992.2 or the GTS.
