What about Detroit? Will the 992 be there?

It's currently not showing to be at the D.C. auto show in April. Too bad. I wonder why? Maybe they are doing individual dealer roll-outs.

Its supposed to be in Toronto in Feb

Wha?! Huge miss. Was hoping to get another dealer invite to a pre-show. No point in going now.

Folks .. Link above says YES the 992 will be a debut vehicle at the #CAS19.

I havent been down to the Toronto show for years, but will definitely head down now.

Well, last didn't have the 992. This year it does. So I'm going. That's the whole purpose of this thread.

Lex.....there's a strong possibility you'll see the Yellow car we got in H-Town. Porsche wasn't even on the floor map this year and yet they were there with a new "Pepper", Pano, Macan, and the 992.......Phil

BIG day tomorrow:

1) Volunteer work at Feed My Starving Children in the AM
2) Early dinner at Monteverde. Having the Ragu Alla Napoletana- fusilli rustico, cacciatore sausage, soppressata meatball, braised pork shank. It's a m a z i n g!
3) Chicago Auto Show in the PM.

Going to the Auto Show event tomorrow evening as well. Excited to see this in the flesh and meet some fellow RL-ers!

They need to keep DOORS unlocked.
I am ordering next week so will be at CAS this weekend to check out 992 :)

There is a color board of the familiar on-line offerings. It's really cool to be here with almost no one to trip over.

Phefner, did you hear the Acura security guy yelling at people for going to look at the new NSX? He said something to the effect "Hey, you guys got passes to the wrong event!". I had to :roflmao: a little. I'm like, "Hey, were are car guys here!".

As I continue my Auto Show journey this morning, came across this neat display of Vettes. Be super cool if Porsche did similar on the 911 heritage. They do have a streaming video which does this which is great because you can see the dimension difference between generations. One chap I chatted with has a 911 from the Air Cooled generation and his only comment gripe is the 911 is too big now.

The color-board that Phefner posted was a cool touch, but, truth be told, that's right were the Garrett's Popcorn was, and I was completely distracted.:)

OK so back to the Porsche area and another look. IMHO without looking at dimensions, it seems like there is a little more room in the frunk. And if your maybe 5'8", there is enough headroom in the back.

Been told #1 question being asked is will the GT4 have a big NA 6. #2 question is will there be a manual offered.

Well, even the Mustang GT 500 has gone away from it's classic shifter with the dial.

I still prefer a PDK style interface and whilst I don't typically use it to manually shift; it does serve as a contact point when normally driving.

The Mustangs center console appears more narrow than the 992 and that's even with an actual transmission and driveshaft under there!
