Christophorus - 992 Dedicated Edition

I am sitting by the fireplace getting caught up on my reading and picked up the latest edition of Christophorus 5/2018, an edition totally dedicated to the 992. You will need to sift through the marketing, but still some good information and a pleasant read for today. One cool find: the new Road Trip App.

If you download the Christophorus app I think you can get those plus more.

I don't like the idea of grabbing an electric shaver for a shift while I'm sliding around with arms crossed up and unable to pull a paddle!

991>992 :-)

Can we keep a thread positive here?!? I get it, but you have a haters thread - go hate with your buddies. It has no place here.

Thanks for posting this thread. I usually chuck the magazine into the trash, so I downloaded the app and took a look at the 992 content. Some good stuff.

yeah, all those F1 drivers still use a manual... Maybe car tech should have stayed the same since the model T!

Dan - have you made a decision yet between getting a 991 and the 992?

Hard to go wrong either way...

ClassJ 01-01-2019 12:16 PM

I get that advertising is important, but even as a Porsche guy it is hard to get through propaganda reads like this lately.

The Porsche SIT is usually the most enjoyment I get out of a factory write up.

I have no decision yet because I want to configure a C2 with a manual transmission and there is no information on it to date. According to a couple of posters, it won't be available until the fall. That's when my lease is up so it will be a quick decision.

BTW, the window to build a 991.2 has passed, so the decision will be to order a 992 if available, buy this one off of the lease, or turn it in and wait.

I know, the marketing is heavy but you have too admire the writers style.

The marketing is heavy you say? When I first flipped it open I was pretty sure those posed pictures of Mark Webber and Angelique Kerber were taken for a clothing style magazine. I can't really comment on the article because it was difficult to read while tears of simultaneous laughter and disgust filled my eyes.
