I think the 991 looks boring and dated compared to the 992...so if you like boring and dated, you’ve found your car. I don’t own a 991 so I don’t have a dog in the fight. I’m going to be purchasing a 911 within the next 12 months (either a C4S or TT) and there’s no way I’d buy a 991 instead of a 992.

My perfect and brilliant 991.1 GTS is a keeper for sure. Too bad you have not experienced one, you are truly missing one of the best,....before it went all "metro" on us....

I tend to agree. The 992 styling is really growing on me. Hopefully Porsche continues to step up the performance (and engine) on the 718s, because the 911 makes more sense as a grand tourer, due to it's ever increasing size and weight.

I behind an Audi Q8 the other night and the rear light is the same look as the 992.. So stupid, why pay Porsche price if it is the same design philosophy across all VW products. Porsche becomes less special.

Ok, now compare them in the daylight: definitely NOT the same thing! 🤓

Agreed with some above. I was ready to pull the trigger on a 991.2 Targa4S (even after the 992 reveal) but now that I've seen more and more of the 992 the 991 has started to show its age inside and out, doesn't look bad but does look dated. Still not a huge fan of everything in the 992 and REALLY wish they would have done better on the interior but can't imagine buying a 991 now.
