Autogefuhl Review and Drive of 992
Sorry if repost. I did search. Brian is not my favorite presenter on this channel as he tends to....I dunno, he’s just not as likable as Thomas to me. But good video. |
Thanks for sharing. I'm not buying his justification for the nubbin.

I dont like the nubbin. But having driven the current generation Panamera about 10 days, and the capacitive touch screen buttons on the far right in front of the shifter are hard to see / touch / use because of the shifter placement. This layout is different and the shifter is less obtrusive. So it definitely will help. |
I like the Autogefuhl reviews. Probably my favorite presenters...then again...I like the nubbin, turbos and all the the other stuff many people around here hate.
By the way, I don't get the discussion about "fake" exhaust pipes. Don't all Porsches have "cosmetic" tips on the tailpipe. How are these tips different than the usual? Seems immaterial to me. |
Love 992. But that was a ride, not a drive

Yeah i watched the whole thing. it was better than porn. Unfortunately, that big overly-complicated thing called engine will be replaced by electric motor in 10 years, whether you like or it. Enjoy it while it lasts cus dinosaur juice engine will be in museum or auction in 50 years.

Put it somewhere other than where a traditional shifter goes, though (like on the dash a la the 918) and I'm fine with it, because if you're going to get the PDK, recognize it's better than you will ever be and just use it; put it in D like he said and go. If you want to shift the car, get the MT. |
In non-sport design guise such as the pix/video above,....the front is still horrid. I can't believe Porsche would let that slide. Sport design just looks so much better, should be standard.

What does the Sport Design front for the 992 look like? Does it fix that atrocious black plastic abyss?

The sport design front is just the standard front on 991.2. Go Figure. Rip off $3.5k
