There were some early articles and some info in one of these threads saying the base C2 and C4 would be available around Aug/Sept 2019. As well as manual transmissions being available for C2/C4/C2S/C4S. I'm waiting to order a manual transmission C2S.

I recall this article from Car and Driver. It may not be exact with the actual month, but indicates later in 2019

Arrival Times

The 992 will be introduced in late November at the Los Angeles auto show. In a break with tradition, the Carrera S and 4S coupes, with PDK only, will hit the market first—in early March in Europe and on our shores in the summer. Soon after, we'll get the cabriolet versions of the same models and, later in 2019, the base Carrera and Carrera 4 models with both PDK and the manual transmission, the latter of which will then also migrate to the S models. The 992 Turbo will appear toward the end of 2019, with many more variants sure to follow.

My dealer told me that realistically a Manual transmission C2 won't be here for a year and a half.

If that's true, that is not ideal for my wants. I'm not sure I can wait that long

Base 992 coupe is a year away (very late 2019) for the US. Convertibles are a month or two after the coupes.

Manual transmission is late Q1 2020 for all models.

Hope this helps with your decision.

There are still 991.2 allocations available, and with manuals! PM me if you need a lead.
