I like the look of the 992, but agree that the SD is an improvement. But isn’t it twisted that we have to spend an additional $5k to get this look?

How so? This has been the case for several generations of the 911 now.

Still no sign on the configurator or word on pricing.

There's a gap between the wing and mount, active wing possibly? If not, the why not a single mould?

Everything about Porsche pricing is twisted. Ppl here are so rich that they dont care getting ripped off 10k to 30k per car.

Porsche purposely made standard 992 very dull and boring so you have spend 20 to 30k extra on options to beautify it so that it doesn't look like your father's Honda

I also expect GT cars to be 20% more expensive than previous generation GT

Anything less would be unlike Porsche.

I also expect most people to go crazy on options.

I'll be the only one keeping the options 10 to 15k.

I rather use that money to buy iphones every year or "fun" tours to Asia or Europe.

As much as it pains me to say this, I’m rethinking my purchase of a new 992. I was really excited about the car, but once I saw the interior in person it really turned me off. I own a 2018 Panamera Turbo that I love and thought the 992 interior, from a quality perspective, would be very similar to the Panamera...it’s not. I’m going to wait until I get a chance to drive one but, right now I’m leaning against getting one.

Funny how the two posts go hand in hand.

Why would you buy a 992 when you already have a faster, more capable Porsche Sedan?

If you think the Panamera is theoretically and practically the same as a 911, you should totally get a Panny! You’ll have so much fun!! Plus, think of all the added practicality! Proper boot, fine-*** back seats....engine in the front! What’s not to love?

It doesn't look "very dull and boring" to me.

I had 4 door sedans all my life. I can count the number of times i actually had rear passengers with 1 hand.

I wonder if they'll do anything different with the license plate opening for the N.American cars .
Our smaller plates will look lost in that big Euro plate opening.

heaven forbid that they add bumperetts on N.American cars

i would imagine something like the gt4 plate holder for the sport design rear, but the standard us rear does have small bumperettes
