Aventurine Green Metallic at LA Auto Show

any thoughts on the sport Tex and the right trim to match? Looks fantastic in pictures. Aventurine+fuchs +sport tex checkered + wood is a cool retro idea. Not a fan of wood tho... wonder if the sport Tex needs a less busy trim (wood, leather, aluminum) vs the standard look or carbon fiber? Any pics of sport Tex with various trims?
I bet the longer front hood with creases are going to change opinions on this car over time, based on the last pic you posted above.
thank you!

Hows about two tone Black/Island green with agave green seatbelt . And wood trim would be nice retro combo.

Aventurine is just OK IMO,.....has been offered a lot over the years and it is good Porsche is branching out a bit in color,.....but it looks kinda dull after a while and washed out compared to other great past Porsche colors.
Now if you really want a cool color back in day, Amazon Green is my all time favorite (appears both a bit blue and a bit green in different lights).....too bad they don't offer it. (think in PTS they do)

I'd bet my life that the Aventurine 992 at the show is a different Aventurine than what Porsche has offered in the past, such as on the 993. It certainly looks different. When I commented on the difference to a PCNA rep who happened to be standing close by, he said several people had also commented to him on the difference, so I don't think I'm loosing my marbles. In any event, anyone contemplating this color thinking it is the same as what they recall from earlier gen 911's from the mid-late 1990's should first do some due diligence and try to see in the flesh what I would call this "new" Aventurine. Maybe Eduardo can shed some light on what appears to be a change, if not in name then certainly in color.
This article below alludes to the possibility of the new paint being a different shade from that offered on past cars:
We've chosen to highlight one of the metallic hues, namely Aventurine Green Metallic, since this is new for the 992. For now, all we can do is check it out in the configurator images above, but we can't wait to see the thing in the real world.
This dark green is a wellcome addition to the standard color range (you don't have to turn to Paint To Sample when seeking it) and we can't help but wonder how this compares to the homonimous shade used on the 993 . . . . "

The new greens look great on the 992 (apart from the wood interior finishes). Interior and exterior greens are a lovely combo. Never thought I'd say that about a new 911. I went green on my backdate and couldn't be happier. It's a bit more lively! Chartreuse Green.

Thanks for that video. Both the photos and the video of the green car are incredibly washed out by the lights. Even the black interior doesn’t look black. Here’s a better photo (that I think you posted) from the way back. It looks much, much better. I hope it’s the same color.

God. For whatever reason, I'm really not feeling the 992. Looks like a nice mustang - I think its the angular buttony interior, the little scallops in the lights and now the pale green colour.
I guess I'll hunt for the right 2015 targa. Anybody got an S with full natural leather, deviated stitching and burmester? :P

Aventurine green reminds me of the pea soup from the Exorcist.
