I am wondering how come the G is not the second? To me this is a classic design which should not be forgotten. Although I truly like 991 the best and this is what I voted, the classic 911 lines of the G is plain sport car design nirvana.

Wondering about first 911as well

Although I like 991 generation overall, 997 RS 4.0 is the best looking model IMHO.

I’m one of the oddballs who likes the 964 design better than the 993 design. That said, I find the 991 to be the best looking 911 yet.

Honestly though, I like them all especially the 991. Except for that hideous abomination the 996.

All of them.

964 3.6 Turbo for best overall, and 997 GT2RS (and 997 gen) for best water-cooled.
The 991 is where the 911 stepped too far in the bloated tech'd out pseudo-Aston direction for me, and the 992, while aesthetically an improvement, still feels like too much of a mass-market cruiser to really win me over.

I actually really liked my 996 C4S. It looked best from the rear quarter view, but it still looked nice.

However, while we are on the subject of fugly, how many of you would really turn down a GT1 with those fried egg headlights?
Not part of the poll, I'd probably say the 993 GT2 would get my vote for the best looking.
1. The 993 is a transition car from the old world 911 to a more modern look front and rear, yet still distinctly keeps close to the 911 roots.
2. The interior is functional and to the point. There are no nanny functions to catch your a$$ and the controls are very mechanical. Being hand built the fit and finish is first rate.
3. The GT2 bodywork just screams ostentatious in exactly the right way. It's purpose-built.
4. The market prices back it up. Well, the rarity sure doesn't hurt.
In the end, whatever you drive, looks don't count. When we gather as a group, the only thing that really matters is our passion for the marque.

Best Design is the 1965-1973 small bumper cars.
Runner-up Best Design is the 1995-1997 993 cars.
Best daily driver is the 997. It has solid reliability, the a/c actually works, and it's just a comfortable car.
