The first thing style-wise that struck me was the front fascia and openings. Looks terrible on the yellow cars - blends in a bit better on the darker colors. Not good.

front grill needs to have body color somewhere in the middle. ferrari made same mistake w 458. probably not hard to fix with some black paint.

Haha. Now I realize why I keep thinking the 992 front looks a lot more "Beetle" than before.
That long hood throwback really, really plays into the Bug roots. The 996-991 style hoodline which evokes pre-911 classic Porsche's actually did a lot to look "less Beetle," which now is increasingly apparent.
Totally agreed. Looks terrible with that black gap in the middle. Makes the front look less low, too horizontal and bland. I hate that Porsche is going that direction now. I've seen concepts of their future EV cars, and they have this "empty Beetle" look in the front very strongly (sad as Porsche defined the tastefully done "massive air dam" era), which leads me to believe this look is basically to warm us up and flow into the EV look evolution.
If they just paint the vertical "beams" in the middle, it'll make a world of difference in making the front look more dynamic, lower and sportier. However, even the beams are too boxy and square. The whole thing is too square.
