They are all widebody because of corporate average fuel economy footprint regulations. The bigger the footprint, the worse the mpg can be.

I watched the launch vid, and though it's a very nice slick marketing effort, the lack of a stick option still 'sticks' in my craw. Some nice touches cosmetically, and a power boost as usual, but nothing made me 'want' this. Oh well. Wishing all those in line a speedy wait and happy times ahead regardless. These are all great cars.

Nope, sorry. There are those of us on here without a 991.2 or any plans to purchase another Porsche any time soon who don't like it. So sorry, that's not the root of the issue.

Or, you know, some people have actual opinions on things.

No reason to shift away from thoughts on the 992 and into unknowns about the people expressing their own views.

I’m going to wait to see a car in person before making a call on what works what doesn’t. Pictures and videos often don’t do justice to complex forms and shapes. BTW, from my location in Canada the stream on the Porsche site began within 15 seconds of the scheduled 8 pm PST start.

I LOVED my 997 until I got a 991. The 997 became old and outdated and I couldn't get rid of it fast enough. Then I LOVED my 991 until I got a 991.2; the 991 became slow, noisy, rough, and outdated. Glad to see it gone. Now that I have a 997 again, I think all 991 and 992 models are utter rubbish for posers with too much money!

Yup...I too gave my Carrera T a hug this am. Sorry but I'm not a fan of this gen look...glad I went with a new 991.2. The new rear end is way too busy...the lines and bumper indentation bug me (996 C4S esque)
