Wait until the 994 comes out, another 2" longer, full hybrid, 3,900lbs, with 21" front and 22" rear, and available autopilot, and people say "but it's faster! And the tech is better!"

Exactly! I'm glad to see that someone around here has their head in the right place.

I'm so confused here. I get the whole "purist" argument but go buy an older gen car if thats what you want. People don't actually expect Porsche to produce new cars that aren't competitive from a speed and tech standpoint with their competition right?

Well, they still use bug eye headlamps, 55 year old styling with large windows, useless rear seats and have the engine hanging out behind the rear axle, so....

Which other car is the 991.2 not competitive with from a speed and tech standpoint? None that's within $50k of the price of a GTS, I think.

Cheaper parts for sure in the 992 from all the mag articles I've read.

No one asked us what we wanted, Porsche doesn't poll large groups of current model owners before designing the next ( well, the right people anyways).

It's only through complaining and getting people to open their eyes that we even have a chance of making things better. If we stop buying them they will be forced to make changes. If we keep accepting them then they will just continue on.... Seems pretty simple to me, oh by the way, this method works just as well in politics. The only problem is getting enough people to agree with each other.......
.......what you say is true, people vote with their wallets. The only problem is that every generation of 911 is better than the last in about every way. I have a feeling the new 992 will sell just fine despite the handful doing the grumbling.

I agree......lots of sheep in the world. However, I think very few sheep are buying $100k plus 2 seater 911’s.

Interesting that it appears the rear window is less dramatically pinched towards the bottom. Hadn't noticed that before. We need more real world side by side pics of the two.

I've had a good 30 minutes up close and personal with a 992 (.. in a dream) and can tell you that the biggest difference is inside. The sides look nearly interchangeable with a 991. The fenders are about C4 width, and there isn't a crease or curve that's different from the 991 (of course, this doesn't pertain to the back and front), save for one maybe being moved a cm or two up or downwards. The greenhouse is slightly narrower on the 992, and you'll notice it when you sit inside, as it's slightly less airy and more "tank like."
