911 turbo 50 anniversary
#46
A manual Turbo 911 seems HIGHLY unlikely but then again Porsche made a water cooled engine, a SUV, a so called poor mans Porsche and now a EV SUV and nobody thought they would.
None the less; Here are the reasons why you will never see a manual 911 Turbo.
1st. Porsche has not even hinted that this will happen.
2nd. The 911 Turbo is the flagship model 911 with the quickest 0-60 mph times. This can not be achieved with a manual. The PDK shifts twice before a pro human can shift once.
3rd. Whether we like it or not manuals and the people who want them are dying off. I'm one of them.
4th. It just makes no sense whatsoever for Porsche to appeal to such a small group of buyers with their highest model.

I was told that some east coast dealers are offering the 50th anniversary allocation at sticker as long as you buy a cayenne at a discount or lease the cayenne for minimum one year. Dealers are definitely getting creative

I just got an allocation for one. I was originally looking for a normal Turbo S coupe, but was told that there were no allocations for those and was offered a 50 in PTS. I'm not going to do the decals (Heritage Package) or the Tartan interior. I guess it's a waste, but I want this car to be a daily and not some garage queen.
