Tint advice
I have. GT silver turbo w black interior arriving in a few days. Need help deciding on tint. I live in the Midwest. Windshield 70% tint for sure.
Can’t decide between 35% and 55% for sides/rear/roof. Any advice based on your experiences? Thanks in advance.

Tint shades will vary from one manufacturer to another…but going with a light medium shade like 55 will compliment the GT silver and the tint will blend in aesthetically

35%. It’s never as dark as you think it should be after you get it.

I would go 55%.

My installer uses Xpel IR film. I like the clean 55% look. Not terribly concerned about privacy. More concerned about aesthetics from outside. Thank you Moe for the pics. Do you know which shade in your pics the Xpel IR 55% would correspond to? Thank you!

Thanks. After much back and forth, my final decision was to do Xpel ceramic IR 35 with VLT of 38% which is likely similar.

Looks great. I decided to go with 70% windshield, 20% sunroof and 35% sides/rear.

I have 20%.
If I did it again, I’d probably go 30-35%.
55% is way too light.
I honestly feel like photochromic glass should be n option on cars at this point. If you don’t know what that is, it’s the Transitions glasses that turn darker as they’re exposed to UV rays.

Photochromic glass would be great. I have witnessed the magic on some commercial flights.
