I still have no car, but I do have the wheels and the TechArt HAS. I will lower it a tad more than SPASM, so maybe 15-20mm all around. I still think the SPASM height is a tad too high for my eye. Hence, since they knew I was to lower the car, these offsets were calculated into the mix by them. Hopefully, they will fill out the wells nicely. 21x9.5. +45 on MPS4S 265/30/21 and 22x12.5 +68 335/25/22.
My phone camera pic is sort of distorted here and looks a little funny since the 22" are actually on the left side but look smaller than the 21" on the right side.
Your fronts will be similar to stock with some more meat on that tire. No need to throw a bunch of rocks off the front end. The rear should be perfectly fattened with that offset, effectively +62 on a 12" wheel, which is what im probably going with...now the wait is on!
My TTS has SPASM with stock ride height. Forgeline GE1R wheels: 20x9.5 C/L +40 & 21x12 C/L +62. It's a road car 95% of the time with 4-5 track events each year.
Yeah, it's technically equivalent to a 9mm spacer front, 10mm in the rear. It was HRE's recommended/guaranteed fitment for 20/21 wheels. I'm going with OEM tire sizes in Michelin 4S, though I could probably get away with 265/325. It's mostly because I'm not sure of the aesthetics with plus sized tires on that offset with stock SPASM. This stuff gets tricky.
21/22 with a drop is a totally different animal and I suspect Brixton are being conservative, which is reasonable. I truly don't know how a spacer works with CLs, or if that's even possible.
The wheels do look good though. I'm getting frozen dark clear on mine which should look very similar.
Personally I'd rather go with a bit more offset and the ability to run the larger tyre. What ultimately will sit flush is the edge of the tyre, not the rim if that makes sense. So 3-4mm les, but then wider tyres, would be my choice. It's a matter of taste of course, I personally think adding a bit of tyre width and sidewall in the wheel well, makes a car more muscular and hunkered down.

Yeah, I put a lot of thought into that direction.
The x-factor here are the Michelins. The sidewalls on a 255/315 Michelin are going to be different than a Pirelli which runs narrower and look more stretched. In other words, a 255/315 Michelin will look like a wider tire Pirelli. For me - I like a beefy looking tire on certain cars. I think the GT cars and air cooled 911s look really great with a beefy fitment. The TTS has a bit more of a modern tech vibe going on and a balanced look with the tire/wheels makes sense to me. I think Pirellis in 255/315 look a little too stretched but I'm banking on the Michelins being on point.
We'll see. It's always a bit of a gamble with these things.
Just got this render...Vossen EVO 2R in Satin Black with dark smoke lip...i think i want the lip to be a Light Smoke instead. Old school 930 turbo meets 992 kinda thing. Sticking with 20x9.5 and 21x12.

Looks cool, but is it going to have that concavity in the rear? I haven’t really seen a TTS fitment with that kind of concavity. The sidewall profile also looks like 21/22. Of course, it’s a render and just there to give you an idea.
I actually like the dark smoke on there, but a light smoke could look cool. Another option - maybe a matte silver like old school Fuchs (ie not high polish) could look cool. I’ve seen custom BBS e88s with frosted/matte silver lip on a GT3 and it looked sick.

Thanks for the feedback...i think you are right about 21/22 render and not sure just how deep the concavity will be. I have no issues with a meaty tire and just want a tint and texture on the rim to conceal dirt and dust.
Matte sidewall does look great too...saw that on the Taycan wheels. Sharp.
So many pleasing variations...at some point you just have to go for it.

I looked on the Vossen website. The Light Smoke looks good - the contrast with the black centers works. One possible issue with dark smoke is that you could lose some of the distinction between the lip and center (unless you went with contrasting finishes - ie gloss/matte).
There is always an argument for one finish or another. It can drive you crazy.

Agreed...Light smoke it is! Thanks for the vote of confidence.

Wow, those wheels look sick, brother! If I order a TT/TTS I will just get the stock wheels and then order some of these bad boys, I think. The "Exclusive Design" wheels don't hold a candle to something this sick!

Thanks...Im going to go a touch lighter on the lip (light smoke instead of dark smoke). This a render...so hope it turns out well in person. 9.5x20 ET 40 and 12.0x21 ET 62 or 65 on 265/325 PS4S tire for a meaty old school street look.
Any issues running 265/35/20 on 20x9.5 +35 and 325/30/21 on 21x12 +59?
Are you going to lower Markoz28. This is probably a max offset and on the edge of poke with SPASM..mostly on front end. Sausage416 added 10mm spacers on his Turbos exclusive wheels which is essentially. +34 and +60. He still had on stock pzeros..so would have been stretched more. Look damn aggressive in a good way.

This is basically the fitment I ordered. 9.5/35;12/60. I had initially went with 265/235, but decided to stick with stock tire sizes because I'm pretty sure an upsized Michelin would look wrong in those offsets.
There is a ton of room in the wheel wells, but I definitely would stick with stock tire sizes with that offset. I did go Michelin with tends to sit more square than Pirellis which always look stretched.
HRE uses these offsets as their starting point, so there is room to get more aggressive, but you'd absolutely have to drop the car to make it work aesthetically.
