Manthey for 3RS - any updates?
Anyone know the status of the Manthey kit for the RS? Haven't heard anything since the spy photos last year. Thanks.

As for power, how would you suggest Manthey do that in a way that the warranty is maintained and regulations are still met? It's not an aftermarket kit, where you usually dispose of the factory warranty and the noise, fuel consumption, and emissions standards of a new car.
If significantly more power is important to you, get in line for the GT2 RS...

While the Manthey kits don't usually trim the laptime much at the Ring, it does make the car more stable and approachable for amateur drivers. So, an average enthusiast driver might improve his time by a meaningful amount, based on the extra driver confidence.

THIS!!
The 2 biggest advantages IMO of Manthey is
1.) KW Motorsport grade 4 way dampers. (PASM is OK, but it is far from motorsport grade internally and PASM isn't one of the quickest reacting active systems out there, the tech they use on it is actually quite dated)
2.) Those dampers are tuned for The Ring. When you move to a sophisticated 4-way motorsport damper, it is all in the set-up. You can make them horrible or great. It is all in the tuning.
Obviously increased aero helps too, but #1 & #2 IMO are the most important, especially for driver's confidence and predicability.

That is a good question.
KW should have the R&D budget to produce something motorsport grade that could integrate with the inside dials. Having said that, it could also be entirely possible that they bypass them and keep the settings on the dampers themselves. The main goal is increased lap times, not convenience. Could go either way really.

I agree that additional aero can boost confidence and lower lap times - adding aero to the old 360 and 430 Challlenge cars certainly did that. But will adding still more aero to the 992 3RS add enough downforce in enough corners to make a significant difference? Depends on the track, but the Ring feels pretty irrelevant if you're driving Mid Ohio, or Barber, or Laguna Seca.
As for adding power without affecting the warranty, I assumed thst Porsche as majority owner of Manthey (unless that's changed) could make that happen.
I've been looking for a 992 GT3 MR owner who can comment on that kit's performance on US road courses.
