When I was looking for my first 911 back in the mid 90's I checked out an early 80's targa in Sepia Brown. The guy said he was having a hard time selling it because of the color.

Here is a link off PCA for colors Porsche has used and the rarity of each color.
https://www.rennbow.org/color-wiki?m...ch=1&go=search
There's another PCA site that shows the rarity of the color by paint buckets. I need to find the link and I will post it.

not a fan of the black wheels, but they’ll do for now until I find a complementary color. Maybe a satin bronze a shade lighter? Idk.

Without reading any of the responses, I interpreted the rarest PTS colors as not the most desirable. Outside of the Chroma flair which is really rare and super premium.
But I love all PTS colors, that's why they are a premium.

I have one of apparently 4 (according to Porsche) Anthracite Brown Metallic cars with Espresso full leather. I love the color combo. Even the wood, which I may not have chosen, really complements the interior and gives it a nostalgic feel without feeling dated.

There are no official numbers on PTS that I can find. The Rennbow site is totally subjective and I would say that their paint can rating has more to do with how popular they think a color family is, rather than an actual color. I don't find it all accurate in rating the rarity of colors in my generation of GT3's from the information I have collected on my list.
Further, my list is a snapshot in time of PTS colors- as some have noted some colors have grown in popularity recently while others have waned, or are no longer available for selection.
Bottom line, there are no official numbers for all the PTS colors and rarity for any particular color for any model will require you to review through cars listed for sale, posted here etc.

You mean this "ugly" ivory color? Light ivory, perhaps? Color, like beauty, lies in the eye of the beholder.
One of two known 991.2 GT3 Tourings in Light Ivory in the world. Equal parts rare and beautiful (to me, anyway - and to numerous RL members who have offered to take this "ugly" car off my hands for a very pretty penny).
