I love it. Sounds great even at low speed and revs. I have the titanium exhaust with loud sleeve and the volume is prefect. Loud titanium is 7/10 loudness, loud titanium plus titanium sleeves 9.6/10 loudness, mini-crack 12+/10 loudness.

Crack pipe is louder than a straight pipe due to megaphone design. I ran a JCR race pipe system and crack pipe with street headers were twice as loud (in decibels of 10 db difference). Mini crack pipe is still crack pipe when valves open, maybe 90% as loud. It gives so much character to the car but it is deafening loud. The downshifts even at 3500 rpm sound better than stock at 7000 rpm.
I plan to go back to crack pipe when my 2nd RS shows up. I’ll run the new 992 RS crack pipe and keep 991.2 RS loud muffler. Dundon power gains are substantial also. |
