If these delays end up becoming a thing, it might be worth considering spec'ing the car with iron brakes and then upgrading to Surface Transforms Carbon Ceramics for those that want their cars sooner than later. However, you would obviously get red calipers in this situation, which would understandably be an issue for some.
It's worth mentoning that ST's are cheaper yet far superior to PCCB rotors. ST is building up inventory for all GT cars, including the new 992s. 992 GT3 replacement kits are already en route to customers and upgrade kits will be ready shortly. Please reach out if interested.

I was the one who started the pccb dust and judder thread. The brakes were dreadful and I believe Porsche is now discovering it. The 991.2 pads made everything completely better but they can’t sell those on a new car anymore. So…. They are in a tough spot.
This is all a guess but I am here to tell you there is a major issue with the pads that came on the car.

Not GT3 or GT2RS related but there seems to be enough discussion here regarding PCCB in 718 GT4 and Spyders that I thought I would share this. My 718 Spyder has been ordered and locked with PCCB's. However, the dust and judder issue concerned me enough to reach out to my parts guy and see about ordering PCCB pads for a 981 Spyder if they would fit the 718 PCCB calipers. Here was his response:
"Good morning! It appears that the 2016 and the 2021 have the same part#'s for the pads. I do not stock them. In each instance, when looking them up they give 2 part#'s, I'm thinking that it might be old and new compound?"

So, I ordered a set of 99135194802 and keeping my fingers crossed that they 1. fit; and 2. are the low dust and judder free pads we're all looking for.

981 spyder PCCBs ? But they seemed much smaller than 718 good luck!

Porsche removed my PCCBs
My build was close to lock & my PCCB were removed. Porsche apparently removed them to keep the allocation going. They do not have the parts to make them beyond what cars have already been allocated. What should I do? I can’t imagine buying a GT3 touring without ceramics.
