Default Car finally here!!

Truck dropped car off this morning.

Did 2 quick loops around the hood before parking it in garage and heading downtown to a festival.

Initial impressions:

1. Super smooth and quiet - compared to my GT4. Easily a daily driver. I have no idea what some are saying that this car is not a daily capable car. Of course my daily in HS was a 70 trans am 3 speed with no power steering/brakes/windows.

2. Clutch is a little snappy to engage. The engagement point is low and engages over a short travel. I did stall it once because I try not to over rev when engaging 1st.

3. The no lift shift is the way to go.

4. I would characterize the MT as “sophisticated.” It is tight and has a short throw. Don’t get this wrong, but it reminds me of my cousins MG.

5. Steering is very light. Could drive this thing with your pinky.

Thanks for the insights! When you say quiet compared to GT4 what do you mean and which GT4? 718? And exhaust or road noise?

I have a 718 with Soul race headers and OAPs. Lol.

My fiancé has a Cayenne GTS. It’s louder outside than the GT3.

Super dirty right now. Had dealer hold off on doing any prep. Going to detail it Monday.

I would have no issue having a hands free call in this car.

LOL in that case I’d hope it’s quieter stock than your 718 configuration

On track, when I pass people, Drivers have told me they can’t talk to a passenger even with comms.

Did you drive or own a 991 GT car to compare? I find the steering of my GT3RS very light, I dont know how the steering can be made lighter.

Also when you say quiet, how quiet? Is the low rpm rumble not there anymore (sub 4k). I really like the mechanical noises this engine makes coming to a stop even idling.

Maybe they made the car a bit too soft? Yes, whats harsh for a guy might be too soft for another.

cleaning day. Lots of adhesive to get off the glass.

few more notes:

tire/road nose is intense on gravel texture roads. It’s fine on freeway and smooth roads.

first wash had a lot of black dust wash off. Not sure what that was from.

anyone know how to program “normal” mode to hold setting changes. Normal mode has auto-blip and exhaust off.
