Gear Ratio (Manual Gearbox)

Hello, I coundn't find any details about the gear ratio of the manual 6-speed gearbox.
Does someone know more?

Unfortunately, I expect it to be similar to the 991.2 GT3.

It s the same gearbox imho

final drive was adjusted for the change in tire diameter, but the gear ratios are the same

Just to chime in, I think the ratios on the 991.2 GT3 were perfect. You won't find any more time on track with different ratios, you might lose time shifting more. As for fun on the street, well, I understand the complaint about the GT4, 2nd tops out at 82 mph. You might say in the GT3 it's also 82 in 2nd (well 81.4 I found), but it's apples and oranges because the GT3 will be at 9000 rpm while the GT4 is at 7800 rpm.

Yes, gearing is optimized perfectly as long as you're not willing to sacrifice Vmax (and Porsche never does, as they're located just off an autobahn).

I do wish that Porsche made 7th on the PDK and 6th on the 6MT a cruising overdrive for going to and from the track efficiently (and more quietly) at highway speeds.

That would be terrible, because all the other gears would have to be taller and more widely spaced to not sacrifice Vmax.

If they ever put more gears in a GT car, I hope they just keep making them lower and closer together so Vmax happens in top gear near peak power point on the tach...

If I drive my Manual GT3 to the track, the tach is only at 3k for 75mph or 4k for 100 mph. That's not even half way up the tach and I couldn't be more comfortable. Having my car perform well is more important to me than saving a bit of fuel or making my already luxurious track car more quiet.

In my car there are some problems with the gearbox, since I do not understand this problem very much, then I mainly used the services of auto mechanics, since they are professionals in their field and must solve these problems, but they made it even worse. In the end, I decided that I myself want to install a new gearbox using the information from this site https://at-manuals.com/ , since it is better to do it myself.

warranty?

My point is I would sacrifice Vmax (not the ratios of the lower gears). I just barely hit 145-150 mph max on the longest straights for the tracks in my area...

Top end speed is for bragging rights, not any actual useful activity.
