Why use the jukebox?

It's 40GB in my 2015 with PCM 3.1. Interesting if it went backwards on PCM4.
It copies incredibly slowly from USB to the Jukebox drive. I think this was useful when people rolled around with CD books, and they could copy the CD to keep from swapping disks, but I don't see the point of copying a bunch of files from USB to the Jukebox. I have attempted this and aborted numerous times now, and the copy is too stupid to skip files you've already copied the last time. The copy takes significantly longer than the length of any drive I've tried it on...

Why use it at all with Apple CarPlay. I personally think this is the best, and the car while driving is probably not the ideal sound-studio to enjoy high fidelity with large files stored in the Jukebox. Just saying, especially in the CT with the lack of sound deadening material and light-weight glass.

After discovering the severe Juke Box shrinkage, I transferred my music to a 128GB SD card which I leave in the car.
Music is always available, I don’t have to plug in my phone for iPod/ CarPlay, and I don’t have to put up with the flakiness of the PCM’s handling of BT song metadata.
YMMV

I copied a bunch of songs from iTunes to a memory stick in AAC file format and loaded them onto my jukebox. It sounds great, and I occasionally use it. I live in the mountains and cell signals are not always reliable for streaming, so it’s a nice option. I don’t have my whole collection, but most of my favorites. I think the jukebox is 40 GB, not 10 GB. Perhaps I’m wrong....

Yes, it’s 11 Gb, according to the Porsche documentation for the Gen II 991 I’ve seen.
I loaded a few songs on mine, but mostly because I was curious. I generally stream music these days via Apple Car Play.

I don't use it and was surprised the capacity is so small i used it in my 3.1 PCM. But not in the 4.0 as it's so small. Just don't think it necessary to use it with SD cards or USB anymore and wanted to check to make sure I want missing out on something

I have a .1 with 40G and use it all the time. Been loading songs on it for a few years now, 5-20 at a time. I don't remember the last time I used the radio.

The previous owner of my 2013 C4S loaded the jukebox with hundreds upon hundreds of hilariously bad and obscure Russian pop and dance songs. I'm never deleting that stuff. Sometimes I like to turn it on, crank up the Burmester, and drive around, pretending I'm some kind of Russian gangster out of central casting.
Admittedly, the fantasy would be more complete if I could find an Adidas track suit to wear while I'm doing it.
