Here is the part # that was replaced on my car. Dealer was not kidding on the price. I am guessing they were charging an hour or two of labor to do the door swap. Keep in mind I have the "cheap" door skin in that there is no metal trim that needs to be refitted, and the handle and elbow rest have leather. (I think those parts transfer from your old door card to the new one) Speaker grill too.

I just had both of my door panels replaced. My car is a CPO, but still under the original warranty. I question whether this is a wear and tear item that would not be covered under CPO. Maybe Porsche would cover this under good will since this is a peculiar issue that happens no matter what. At first, only passenger door panel started lifting at the top near the window and, other than my fiancé, I am typically in the car alone.

There are several threads on this... Warranty = no problem.
Out of warranty: decent goodwill from Porsche. They covered >80%... I paid $400 out of pocket, if memory serves, their cost was $3400 +/- !
The simpler the panel, the faster they get it. The fancier (color, inlays) = delays to get the part.

Make sure they "silence" the thing properly, I had to go back to get it redone because the door developed many rattles after the first fix. All good now but I suspect it'll do it again. Then it'll be on us to fix it or trade the car !

Back from the dealer. New side doors ordered, all covered on warranty. Now just wait until they arrive form Germany.

2013 991.1 CS2
I have a similar issue. No more warranty though. For $3000 I think I can live with it, although not the best option:

The service advisor told me that if Porsche did not goodwill it (it's a verb now!!!) , a local trim guy would take them off and repair them for me for abou tthe same amount as a my out of pocket... So it sounds like it's doable, it's just that most of us got it done under warranty.

I always joke that my 45y old 911's door panels still look perfect... Hmm...

Wow. Just wow. That damn Porsche tax!

I'll need to make sure I set aside a reserve fund to pay for repairs like they do at condos when I get my 991.2 some day.

Looks like both sides are warping. Bought it privately a few months ago: 2013 with only 3400 miles and I have put on about 1500 miles. Absolutely mint condition. This is obviously a design flaw. I called the local dealership to see if they would cover out of warranty because it is a "known issue." Worth a try but I won't hold my breathe. Not buying from a dealer and not being the original owner are other strikes against me I am sure.

Funny enough, I have a 2013 991 with a full leather interior and CPO (no problem with door panels) & a 2014 981 with 'standard' interior - the 981 was NOT purchased from a Porsche dealer (I am third owner) but it was suffering from this issue and local Porsche dealer 'goodwill'd it (though to be fair, I was only a month out if warranty - TY to Rennlist, I had not noticed it until I saw this thread and checked). They showed me invoice and door panels were nearly 5k!!! Best of luck...

So it effects full leather as well? I had been under the impression it was standard only. Are the replacement panels any different?

No, I said that the 991 (the one with full leather) did NOT have this issue, 981 did.
