Default Enjoying my car at the track

This is an amazing car for the track. Is the best place to unleash all the performance. I have own several cars (1M, c63, cupra r) and none of them are really prepared for the track.

Enjoy. The track has mostly ruined me for street driving. Not to mention ruining me financially!

yep, the 991 is a very capable car in all environments and its nice that it performs so well on the track in stock form. It lives up to the hype generated by car enthusiasts, regardless of brand.

??? The car is in Sport Plus mode, part of Sport Chrono, you can see the light on that button is on. What do you mean? Why do you think most people don't use it??? Why wouldn't you?

Edit: Ahh... maybe you are talking about the clock/timer? He has a much nicer unit for that.

I use the Solo DL for lap times. I did try to use the sport chrono once but didn't like it, maybe I don't no how to use it properly.

^^
Funny you should mention Harry's Lap Timer. I've used it before but I decided to do some upgrades for it.

I just received a SkyPro 10hz GPS/GLONASS receiver and plan on coupling that with a OBDLink MX I already have to get the best possible car and position data. Both of these are highly recommended by Harry's. The acceleration sensors on the phone are used in concert with all of this to give really high quality results.

I'm planning on using these with Harry's Autocross mode and Performance Test capabilities, including some before/after performance tests with a new exhaust and then some new BMC air filters over the next couple of weeks.

Does anyone here do? I genuinely want to learn and manual is at best confusing. Would be great if someone can create a video explaining how to use it. FYI: I have a 991.2 C2S with Sports Chrono.

I've used the Sport Chrono just for grins when autocrossing, although it doesn't really understand the "laps" there. I'm sure OP's Solo DL is a much better track tool.

The Sport Chrono is pretty simple to set up and control from the control stalk. It takes one sample each second and includes data that shows things like steering wheel positions, throttle position, speed, temperatures, gear, car position, and a few more I don't immediately recall. You have to convert some of these from metric. In the 991.1 and earlier you pretty much just have to look at this data in Excel as a csv file. I don't know about what's available for the 991.2, but hopefully it is better and easier to read.

I have a Waylens coming in the mail today that should provide some interesting video with coordinated data capture for all of the above-mentioned things too... in addition to the Harry's Lap Timer stuff mentioned earlier. I like data and video I'll do a separate thread about these things soon.
