Panamera 4 - "meh" car at best. Drives much bigger than it actually is, power delivery is uninspiring, and the steering feels artificial and disconnected.

Cayenne "Platinum" - nicely optioned, adequate power around town, comfortable, quiet, makes for a great road trip car. Takes to corners surprisingly well considering its high center of gravity, much more enjoyable than the base wheel and tire package.

718 Cayman - sometimes sounds like a Subaru at idle. If you can get over that minor perceived nuisance, the car is an absolute hoot with the turbo 4. It makes all the right kind of turbo noises, and begs to be driven deep into its powerband in every gear. The front looks a bit bland, I feel that the 981.1 looked less pedestrian. The rear of the car, especially the new spoiler design is great!

YMMV

IMO, those cars are for people who want the right badge (and perhaps, options) but end up with the wrong car. No offense to anyone on here with such a car. I'm sure they make sense under the right set of circumstances. -_-
That old VR6 is a boat anchor. So happy we got our Cayenne as the Diesel.

I've had mostly Cayennes. A diesel once (right before dieselgate) but by in large the base V6. Had a base Boxster once, and a Panamera 4. That V6 is at least better than the base Cayenne V6.

Never had the 911 in for service, so curious to see what I get when that goes in.

Cayenne. Pleasantly surprised as I usually get dirty smoked in Hyundais from Audi store . Thats quite annoying. While I don't really care what i drive as a loaner I'm sure many do and would be pissed. Can't imagine some 70 yr old S8 driver being given a dirty Hyundai. Love the Porsche experience.

Do dealers ever have cars with manual transmissions in their loaner fleet?

Had a couple of Audi A3's. Not my car at all.

One 991.1 4S cab - which is the same as the car I own, but I was taking my wife's 981S in for service when I got this one.

Macan base, Macan S. Better than the Audi A3, but still too far off the ground for my taste. The high seating and center of gravity always says "truck" to me, whether it's an SUV or crossover in reality.

The Cayman S I just had was a manual (was surprised both to get a $90k Cayman S and that it was a manual)

Great choice with the diesel. Amazing how a good amount of torque will mask an otherwise sluggish engine around town. Perhaps that's next after the Macan GTS.

Lately only Macan base car but have had Panamera hybrid and Cayenne. Base Macan doesn't have lumbar support and I won't accept car without that anymore due to back issues. They swapped car for me to get cayenne with lumbar.

I have Macan and 911s and they once offered me enterprise car which I turned down and waited for P car to be available.

My car goes in tomorrow for the 40K. Done on Thursday morning. I'm getting either a Macan or a Pepper. Fine with me, but the daughter was hoping for a drop top with PDK.

I just took my 981S in for service yesterday and got a Cayenne Platinum Edition. Obviously a great place to be on the inside, but the engine left a lot to be desired, and I'm not used to being the captain of a ship. Between the engine and the handling, I surprisingly prefer our base Macan.
