very odd indeed. Hard to downshift with confidence from 7th for me. Upshifts are fine is the downshifts that give me pause. Still way rather than pdk personally. But I'd rather it was 6mt honestly.

anyway love love the car. White and guards red are my favorite. And the alcantara and carbon fiber interior look fantastic!

I love those wheels too. Only reason I stuck with the centerlocks is that they are 1/2" wider than the 5 lugs. But I thought hard about it bc they look super and are easier to deal with if you have a problem not near a Porsche dealership. Mine is still sitting in Emden though LOL!!

I rarely to never use the 7th gear. 6th is more than long enough for me for most drives.

I found the original configuration if anyone is interested in what these options look like built.

This car is pretty much used to get to the track here on Vancouver Island (http://islandmotorsportcircuit.com) so 5 lugs were important for me as I am trying to use my existing 19" rims. Not sure if those will fit as tire rack says they won't but the Porsche tech thinks they should.

Car carmine red to match the interior but in retrospect I am not sure it's worth the price vs guards red.

Congrats MDennis. Your car is the newer version of mine which also has a 7 spd! I bet yours is a whole lot faster though. Enjoy the drive!

@wisky center locks are a **real pain** and not worth it for regular usage. Now if you track your car, that is a different story...

Congrats - it's gorgeous. I was very torn on 7MT vs PDK on mine. Went with PDK, but really miss rowing gears.

Beautiful color.....why didn't Porsche do the red deviated stitching on the air vents like Weks 1 showed in his photo?

I dunno, I looked on the Porsche website and it doesn't include the air vents in the description. https://gyazo.com/82cd0a33fdcdd1cb51ced1ea84703e00

It also shows the surrounds in aluminum. Maybe its a 991.2 vs 991.1 thing.

Interesting...odd to see Porsche leave this detail out and have standard grey stitching on some parts and the nice red sticking you ordered for everything else. Maybe a factory mistake?
