Feedback on base build would be appreciated!
Hi Guys,
Here's the build that I'm 99% settled on but I'd appreciate any input from fellow Rennlisters. This is a base Carrera as I don't think I need the extra HP and goodies like RWS, etc.
Thanks!

So this is what it will look like in real life. I think it's bit under the radar, which I like, and easy to maintain. The only thing I would reconsider is the Dynamic Cruise and Sport Steering wheel. Whether I'm in my Cayenne Diesel or 911, I never feel compelled to use cruise control, unless you are in a very congested area. You might think about saving the 300 bucks on the sport steering wheel. The standard wheel is great, and a tremendous improvement over the standard abomination on the .1.
Also, I think you're just going to get "PORSCHE" painted on the rear, ask the dealer exactly what logos will be on the rear.
Otherwise, great build, but maybe I'm a bit biased.

Nice build. I would drop ACC and power steering plus if budget is on mind and get full leather interior. Also the sport design mirrors look much nicer than folding. Hips of 911 are wide so folding mirror doesn't really give you that much extra clearance from the sides.

That looks like a sweet build. Many here will recommend the full leather interior...I don't have it and still think my interior is great but if I was ordering a car I would probably spring for it - especially one as loaded as yours. I'd much rather have the leather interior than adaptive cruise control or satin finished wheels but it's a very personal decision.
It certainly looks like you've done your homework and hit the highlights on the options list.
Cheers,

I had ACC on a prior Porsche and passed on my C4. I would consider dropping power steering plus especially if you like a heavier steering feel. Same for the sport wheel I prefer the standard.
As for full leather - I like it a lot in the two tone variations. For solid black I don't know if it's worth it. I passed on this one as I park outside and don't miss it much. I loaded up a base C4 similar to the way you did yours. I did not include sport exhaust but got front axle lift because of some steep driveways. I also have the S wheels painted platinum and they look great and brake dust takes a little longer to show on them.

I'm leaning in favor of ACC given I live in the SF Bay Area and traffic here is a nightmare. I read somewhere using that feature in stop and go traffic works pretty well. Also I recently had a minor fender bender were I tapped someone ahead of me, and I certainly don't want that to happen in this puppy!
I actually selected the regular lettering for the badge (I believe "PORSCHE, 911 Carrera) but painted black to match the platinum wheels and black exhausts tips.
Admittedly the leather is really nice but I think I can live without it. Hope I don't regret it later.
Sport design mirrors... I'll take a look.

I think Sport design mirrors are a must-have, they just really fit the sports car look opposed to the standard mirrors. Otherwise I like your build, personally don't know much about ACC and how great it is.
I am totally fine with my standard black interior (Non-leather) and for whatever reason I feel like it's more durable than standard leather, had the same experience with MB-Tex in my Mercedes opposed to full black leather. It's likely not as luxurious or smells as nice/feels as nice, but the standard black interior works great for me.
I wasn't a fan of the 991.2 Carrera S wheel design and I love my 20" RS Spyder wheels, but YMMV and it's just my opinion. Another option for me was the 20" Classic Sport Carrera wheels.
My C4 (base engine) has plenty of power, maybe even overpowered, for spirited driving around town. The torque is addictive, I'm warning you now It kicks like a mule when you hit the gas aggressively..

I would not get ACC. It is expensive and annoying at times. I would DEFINITELY get a full leather interior if you order your own car. The plastic dash in these cars just doesn't look right to me...feels like a Toyota. I would also not get the power steering plus. I had it on a C2S and it makes the steering feel very light and synthetic.
I know you said the RWS is not important to you. Have you driven a car with and without it? It transforms the car during performance driving.

I would skip ACC & PSP too. Full leather is nice to have but not necessary. To me the power folding mirror is quite an useful feature, it really makes different when parking in tight space, for example, on a ferry; otherwise, the sport design mirror really does look better. Good luck with your order

I would agree on the recommendations to add Full Leather.
Don't kid yourself about the, "I don't think I need the extra HP". Everybody wants more HP. Even the Turbo S guys!
But, getting a base 991.2 is a very smart move. In 4 years when your car comes off warranty, you can add a proven (hopefully in 3-4 years Rennlisters can vet a good product) chip/tune, and instantly have +S performance on the turbo'd motor.

I'm surprised so many are saying to drop the ACC.
I've never driven a Porsche with ACC - is their system bad? I ask because I have a Tesla and ACC is just awesome for long road trips. Set it and forget it - so much better than the basic cruise in my BMW or RS.

Not driven ACC on Porsche but with Acura it's fine, I only use it when traffic is light. But I like brake assist for accident avoidance. Was driving on a back road maybe looked at the radio for a split second when a deer was standing in the road and the car applied the brakes and flashed a signal on the HUD warning. Note this is part of the package not needing to be using the active cruise control it's on all the time.
I'm debating this option, but I more want it for the brake assist accident avoidance more than the active cruise.

Three Wheelin'
I dont have full leather so i don't know what im missing.....sounds great though. I'd pass on RWS too unless tracking. Black wheels to match roof, pipes and paragraph? Instead of Porschecarrera911 maybe just Porsche 911? Nice build!

I hate the ACC on my S550. You cannot disable it and still have "regular" cruise control. If that's true in Porsche's, I would pay NOT to have it.
Big fan of full leather as well.
I like the power fold on the regular mirrors. Not available on SD mirrors.
Rear wiper has lovers and haters.
