Speed or HP limiter?
I am wondering if it is possible to limit horsepower/top speed/acceleration?
My 991 may need to be driven by an inexperienced driver....Thank you.

Probably the first time ever for this request!
Not sure of your situation, but mine may be similar. My son will likely learn to drive in my 911 or my wife's X6M... Both very controllable, but both very capable of getting him into trouble quickly! We'll be sure his car is not so quick, but it's unlikely to believe he won't drive our vehicles at least a few times.

Some cars provide a Valet mode with rev and speed limiter. I'm not sure why Porsche doesn't have this.

Cobbs AP has a valet mode you can flash.

Check out a (Teen) Safe Driver Training Course.
Both my sons attended a similar course (and also multi-day racing school) at Laguna Seca (ex Skip Barber). In retrospect (traffic situations, winter Sierra storms, etc) very worthwhile in my opinion.

Honestly, spend $25k and buy a new four cylinder 5 speed Tacoma and let him learn on that.
Plus sides: the only challenge in driving is lack of power, minimal depreciation, cheap insurance, great for Home Depot runs, indestrible clutch/trans great for new driver, easy to learn on, odds are you/he will probably like it so much you keep it.
Variations on this theme include buying a used learner car/truck and doing collision only insurance.

Its a 991.1
The Valet mode seems to be a reasonable way to go - I am going to research that.
Thanks all of the suggestions.
Garage space is at a problem, and I have to let something go if I want to get a car/truck for my son.
Im trying to keep my beloved car!

With my taste in vehicles, I wouldn't want my kids to drive anything I own LOL! Too easy for young minds with lots of hormones and energy to get into trouble at speed...

Is it turbo lag or is it throttle mapping? I suspect the latter, as in my Macan. Not sure why this issues exists in these vehicles. Can be ameliorated by something like Pedal Commander.

That's dangerous, what if they have to get away from the Cops?
