Win number 19 for Porsche and more than any other car manufacturer. That was an awesome race. Especially the GTE PRO class. The corvette just blew it in the last 5 minutes.

Will they commemorate by slapping some stickers on a C2 and voila! Worth millions.

Hat trick for Porsche with wins in '15, '16, and now '17!

Heartbreaking loss for Corvette. My jaw dropped when AM passed them with only minutes to go...

Great job by the Porsche #2 pit crew and mechanics.

Aston had a great 24 hours. That was a great finish in GTE Pro.

Agreed on the excellent pit crew support.

Aston sure did have a great 24 hours. I wonder how much can be attributed to the Dunlops, which seemed to perform very well, however the # of blowouts was concerning.

[Warning: 50-year-old rant]

Sure wish the 919 wasn't so dam ugly!

Sure wish it wasn't a 4-cylinder.

Happy for another win. But I liked it better back when they were winning with cars (i.e. 956, 962, GT1) that seemed like they just had the "mil-spec" version of the stuff I was driving or aspiring to drive. Alas, time marches on. First diesels, now electronical cars, neither of which conspire to inspire, as far as I'm concerned.

But its better than Audi or Toyota winning I suppose.

First year I followed the live stream on Fox. When I went to bed, Porsche 1 was leading. When I woke up in the middle of the night, Jackie Chan's LMP2 was leading and I thought they would certainly win the overall since Porsche 2 was way behind. When I woke up in the morning to see the ending, what? Porsche 2 became the leader? Interesting how 24 hours change a lot of dreams

I wouldn't say "ugly", but, I wish it were easier to spot & see. It's colors are too similar to Toyota, for example. We need a brighter, bolder color plan.

As for that 4 banger.....and I think only about 2 liters, .....it is over 500 HP. I'll take one please with a side of chipotle aioli!!

LMP2 doesn't stand a chance against a LMP1, hence totally different categories. The #2 Porsche just walked right up the line because only LMP2 cars were in front of it. It was pretty cool watching it live.

Perhaps you're speaking in the context of "2017 LMP1 entrants," in which case I guess I'll concede that it's hardly any uglier than the rest of them. I was speaking in the context of "LeMans Winners over the past 65 years."

Oh, that changes everything! I just assumed they pulled a motor out of the base Macan and put a cold air intake and a catback on it. But if it makes a lot of horsepower I'm happy it's a 4 cylinder. Who needs melodious flat-sixes if a 2.0 I4 can be thrashed within an inch of its life and deliver 500 ponies.

Obviously I'm lapsing into uncharacteristic sarcasm. I still wish Porsche's LeMans winner looked like this

In the last 90 minutes they had an unscheduled pit for tires. Fox broadcast didn't what it was for, but speculated a puncture. That basically threw them off the podium.
