Cab Water Intrusion-Warranty Question

2 Attachment(s)
Looking for some warranty advice here. I noticed this water line located on the drivers side interior and wanted to get your thoughts on how Porsche handles these issues. This is a picture from the inside of my 2015 GTS purchased in October of 2015 with 13k miles. Clearly the cab roof seal has been compromised and resulted in water damage.

How would a dealer typically handle this? Is a repair possible or would this be a complete replacement? Thanks.

I'd insist on replacement

Seems like warranty to me.

Looks like she's headed to the dealership. Thanks guys.

I've owned a few 911 cabrios and never seen that. I'd take to dealer and they will replace.

I'd see if they could clean it up first. Cabs can leak in heavy rain or run through a car wash. That looks like it soaked up water though, maybe first owner put the top down when it was wet and the folded up water had to go somewhere.

Have you checked closely for any cuts or tears?

Thanks for the suggestion. I just did a pretty good inspection and turned up nothing out of the normal. I'm very OCD about the top and car in general. I use rag top products. Cleaner once a month. Sealant about once every 4 months. It's taken care of, no signs of water intrusion on the other side which eliminates a situation of water coming from an open top during a rain shower. All signs are pointing to a manufacturers warranty claim.

I had an identical stain in the same location and color on a previous Porsche. I was the cause and it was from too much Porsche brand top protectant.

No kidding!!! I have laid the protectant on pretty thick on the seams. Were you able to remove the stains?

Interesting.

Agreed and the stain is in the same area that I laid the sealant on pretty thick. But why should sealant penetrate the roof? I would think that any liquid should not be able to seep into the cabin.
