Default Road Trip Review - Michelin PS4S

My P-Zero fronts were worn, and I decided to punt and redo the whole set with the new Michelin PS4S product before a lengthy road trip from NorCal to Dallas and back.

Having put around 4000 miles on these tires I can say they are spectacular. The road noise is dramatically less than the P-Zeroes and I have no complaints with the grip or behavior at speed.

I got a chance to try them in the wet today and I'm still stoked.

These are going to be my go-to tire from here on out.

Good to hear. Looks like Porsche is fitting these instead of P Zeros as of late. I can't wait to try them.

Some guy on another PS4S thread here measure sound and found them to be identical to PZero.

My car has a January build date and I am in the Netherlands.

I hope Porsche can deliver it with the Michelin’s.
I have not seen anything on the N rated PS4S on the Michelin website, at least not in my tire size (991.2 GTS).

That is very good to hear. Even though the P zeros on my car have only 2500 miles on them, I really don’t like the noise. May dump them in the summer if the Michelins are so much better.

Noise aside. The Michelin’s are just the better tire.
Care more about the driving than the 0,x decibels difference, if any.

Think I'll try a set in spring. it seems my rears have about 3-5000 kms left and fronts have about 15000+....how did that happen?

I read that thread. There is sound (loudness) and there is quality of sound. My own experience with my Boxster S was that when I replaced the P zeros with MPSS, the ride was better and the tires were significantly quieter to my ears. I see something similar here.

Has anyone seen, hear or read anything from Porsche on the MPS4S N rating?

I contacted Michelin but they politely reffered me to Porsche.

These tires are ridiculously quieter than the P zeros! I can hear the SC clock tick which translates to more quality induction and exhaust sounds that are permeating the cabin! My kind of sound!

I checked TR's website and came up with this for my 2018 C4S. I will switch out my P zeros next summer. Time is precious and I can't wait to wear out ****ty tires.

Thanks. I see they have the MPS4S with the N0 Porsche approved rating on their website,

I can only hope that Porsche/Michelin will also provide them asap in Europe ...

My experience is that most of us replace worn tires for the newest greatest and think they are so much quieter

Having said that I hate my Pirellis and will change em soon
