Default How long before your tires wore out?

Thanks guys. I assume like in my Boxster, the rears in my 18 C4S will wear out much faster. Mine is primarily a street car. I am using snows for the winter and summer tires will only stay on the car about 7 months.
Don’t like the P zeros and was wondering how long they will last? 10-15k miles?

Can't help u with the p0's, hated them so bad I swapped out for the PSS. Rears lasted 9K miles, fronts about 16K.

Mine still had plenty of Front and rear tread depth after 13,000 miles of street driving. They were like hockey pucks though! If you switch to snows it wouldn't be as bad in the cold but they will last even longer.

$1400 well spent for MPS4s including install. Sticky, quiet, no regrets.

First set of rear PZeros lasted 15K miles. I changed them too soon (live & learn).
Second set of rear PZeros lasted 21K miles.
Front PZeros lasted 36K.

I think the PZeros were great tires. No better, or worse, than my current MPSS.

Just swapped onto winter rubber at the weekend and was a bit surprised at the wear on my rear 10k PZero's. I reckon I am looking at about 15k in life.

If I am lucky, one more summer out of them before I go shopping.

My P-Zero rears lasted 20,000, and the fronts still looked like new on 2015 991 C4.

I'm really surprised some of you guys are getting that much out of your rear tires. I was expecting 15k miles on rears and 30k miles on the fronts - which was in line with MPSS on my Boxster. Is this mainly highway driving?

Compared to other 911s I've owned, and driven on the same roads, I'm getting 5-10K more miles from the rears.

I often drive 200 highway miles to hit 120 miles of backroads on the weekends.

Thanks. I just got my first nail in my rear on my 911. What is with these tires? Is it because of the thinner tread?

~ 700k of driving in my life in Hondas, Accuras, Lexus' and only 2 or 3 tire plugs.

Three on boxster after 38k and one in my 911 after 4.2k.

Different thread I guess......

My experience also....'13C2S & '15 TT

I run on the high end of factory inflation recommendations

I got a screw in one of my rear tires on my second drive in my car. Fortunately it had only gone in about a quarter of an inch. I pulled it and the tire seems fine. Super wide tires. They sweep up all sorts of crap from the streets is my guess. Nothing after that.

No nails in set #1. 15,000 miles.
2 nails in set #2. 21,000 miles
No nails in set #3. 14,000 miles and counting.

It averages out.

It's awesome that you are putting so many miles on your car.

Now....if they will only let me buy a GT2RS........and if I won the lottery.

I guarantee Porsche that it would not be a garage queen.

How would you compare the P zeros to the MPS4s? Quieter?
I hate how noisy the P zeros are but dumping new tires gives me pause.

12K on the rears in Germany. Aggressive mountain road driving in the Black Forest and regular Autobahn triple-digit speeds - typically 140 mph with several blasts in the 180 to 196 mph range. Best money I ever spent!
