So... We were stuck behind a lost, out-of-state SUV for way too long, and we finally got our first opportunity to pass him. I don't even think I made it out of 2nd gear before I had to back off the throttle, but my wife still loved it. And the Led Zeppelin playing on the Burmester makes this one of those... moments.

Washington has metered lanes (red/green lights that allow one car at a time) on the highway on-ramps that operate during peak times. The short HOV lane bypasses the metering.
We do get a bit of rain up here in the Pacific Northwest. The AWD is really sure-footed accelerating in the wet. I wouldn't have done that on something twisty, though.
It's too bad there's no way to make a video that lets you feel how hard your passenger gets slammed back into their seat. And this was from a rolling start. I can't wait to try launch control.

Well a C4S has a lot of tire contact patches to translate engine torque into forward movement, and a lot of sophisticated electronics to figure out how to best use that traction. Launch control puts all management capabilities on alert and knows exactly what you want to do. When I tried it the first (and only time) it felt a bit like getting rear-ended without leaving any dents in the bumper. Too bad I was alone as my wife likes that sort of thing ...
