I have traded up in power several times over the years so I understand the urges that hit you in the groin and make your stones ache. It is easy to get used to a powerful car to the extent that you feel the need for something faster because what you have now grown accustomed to the power and it seems like it just isn't cutting it anymore. So you get a .2 T and after a while those same stones tell you that a .2 TS is what you really need. Where does it end and to what purpose does it serve to go bigger? If it is recognition you seek, I would guess that only P-car owners/enthusiasts will know that you have a T versus a S.

Only you can make this decision, it just depends on which head has the most influence. Good luck.
Huge thumbs up here. At some point, that extra juice isn't going to make you any healthier. But your sh_ts will definitely get bigger!

I say go for the Turbo. Everyone has the car they really want... for some it's the models that can be wrung out a little more, for others it's the ones with huge power on tap but rarely ever used. For you it's clearly the Turbo, so get it.

I see it mentioned earlier... and part of me hates to put this in your head... but why wouldn't you just go for the Turbo S then? Don't you worry that you'll think... man if I had just ponied up the "little" extra for the Turbo S then I'd be at the top of the Turbo heap rather than just settling... sigh... for a mere Turbo. (Disregarding the ultra-rare GT2 I guess). It sounds to me you might be setting yourself up for such thoughts given your current consideration.

If you are going to "upgrade" go for the 991.2 Turbo S.. If inclined, look for a gently used one that someone has already taken some of the depreciation. Saw a cab the other day for 40k off list with 2k miles on it.

Thanks brother, appreciated! Definitely feel blessed, pinch myself every AM when I enter the garage.

Can't wait to hear if you pulled the trigger... Post some pics if you go Turbo.

Love this thread. Best of luck with the decision. No way you can make a bad choice.

BTW I love your current car.

Talk me me out of this or tell me I won't regret it.
If you can afford it and not getting the 991.2 starts bothering your sleep or work, by all means,

DO IT

If you are considering the Turbo I would take your time and really search for a .1 or .2 Turbo S, there are some deals to be found there, especially CPO/Pre-Owned. Life is short, it seems like you are set on that car so go for it. But if I was in your shoes, I would hold out for the Turbo S, if I got a Turbo I might wonder why I didn't just splurge a bit more for the S. Personally love the center lock wheels and PCCB that come with the S, just finishes the look IMO.

The .2 C2S is a very fast car. There is no question that it's faster than anyone needs on public roads. That said, the Turbo is on another level from the C2S. The power is just ridiculous. I'm driving my new .2 TT around town at 1/4 throttle and the thing is like a caged animal. I love that kind of stuff. Torque is an awesome thing.

Get one. TT or TTS, who cares. Both are completely bananas.

Hawkeye911 I see you've already upgraded your wheels to hre's. looks great! Looks like they are 20's on the stock tires. What springs did you use to lower it? How does it ride? I have the exact same car on order, 2018 though with yellow deviated stitching. Ordered aerokit too. Coming from a 2016 gts cab, 7spd, great car too, hopefully I don't regret this!

I just bought a 14 911 Turbo. I had a 14 911 S. I'm not a speed racer. I love the body of the Turbo. The scoops etc. This is a personal decision. The only thing for me is I am not one to take depreciation hits. You have to buy it right.
